The project was to replace the existing concrete floor on the mechanical level. This mechanical floor is in the middle of a 10 story fully operational hospital. This involved removal of 37 Air Handlers and replacing them with newer centralized units. While keeping the hospital supplied with air to stay up and running.
INSTALLING TEMPORARY DUCT TO SUPPORT REMOVAL OF EXISTING AIR HANDLING EQUIPMENT
WITH TEMPORARY AIR INPLACE SEQUENCED DEMO OF EXISTING EQUIPMENT COULD HAPPEN AND NEW EQUIPMENT COULD START BEING INSTALLED IN IT'S PLACE
The crane day was a challenge due to the area where the equipment had to be flown to. This required a very large crane with increadible reach to get the air handlers into place.
WORKING TOGETHER TO SET NEW EQUIPMENT INTO PLACE
“I have worked with Arctic Sheet Metal over the last 20 Years. In all cases it has been a partnership of trust and respect. The culmination of this relationship was during the most difficult Job I have worked on to date: The St. Vincent M-Level Remodel.”
Mark Reusser, Anderson Construction Senior Superintendent
The project ended as a success ahead of schedule, updated equipment, head clearance, a new floor, and the DJC Project of the Year award.
“The finished project now stands as a model for efficiency in operations.”
